The main of breast cancer treatment is surgery when the tumor is localized, with possible adjuvant hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, and/or radiotherapy. At closest, the treatment recommendations after surgery (adjuvant therapy) follow a pattern. Depending on clinical criteria (age, model of cancer, size, metastasis) patients are roughly divided to high risk and low risk cases which issue different rules for therapy. Treatment possibilities include Radiation Therapy, Chemotherapy, Hormone Analysis, and Immune Therapy.

Information on Breast Cancer Treatments:

Surgery

Depending on the staging and specimen of the tumor, just a lumpectomy (removal of the lump only) may be all that is necessary or removal of larger amounts of breast combination may be necessary. Surgical removal of the entire breast is called mastectomy. Standard practice requires that the surgeon must prove that the tissue removed in the operation has margins clear of cancer, indicating that the cancer has been completely excised. If the conglomeration removed does not have clear margins, then further operations to remove more tissue may be necessary. This may sometimes require removal of part of the pectoralis foremost muscle which is the main muscle of the anterior chest wall.

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy can be disposed both before and after surgery. Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy is used to shrink the size of a tumor prior to surgery. Adjuvant chemotherapy is assumption after surgery to reduce the risk of recurrence. Cancer cells usually grow more rapidly than normal cells, and chemotherapy drugs toil against them by interfering with their growth and reproduction.

Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy consists of the use of enormous powered X-rays or gamma rays (XRT) that precisely target the area that is being treated. These X-rays or gamma rays are very operative in destroying the cancer cells that might recur where the tumor was removed. These X-rays are delivered by a machine called a linear Accelerator or LINAC. Alternatively, the use of implanted radioactive catheters, compare favourably with to those used in prostate cancer treatment, is being evaluated. The use of radiation therapy for breast cancer is usually stated after surgery has been performed and is an essential component of breast conserving therapy. The purpose of radiation is to reduce the predictability that the cancer will recur.

Hormonal Treatment

Hormonal therapy is a very effective treatment against boob cancer that is hormone-receptor-positive. Find out if you should be tested to see if you need other therapies, as well. Sometimes called “anti-estrogen remedial programme,” hormonal therapy blocks the ability of the hormone estrogen to turn on and stimulate the growth of core cancer cells. Tamoxifen is the drug most commonly used to block estrogen receptors on cancer cells, in come into force, denying them the estrogen they need to grow and multiply.

Herceptin

Herceptin is the first humanized antibody approved for the treatment of HER2-express metastatic breast cancer. Herceptin is designed to target and block the function of HER2 protein overexpression. Probing has shown that HER2-positive breast cancer is a more aggressive disease with a greater likelihood of recurrence, a poorer projection, and a decreased chance of survival compared with HER2-negative breast cancer.

Comprehensive Breast Centers

Women with breast cancer increasingly are choosing to be treated at comprehensive breast centers that offer up-to-steady old-fashioned treatments and the specialists that can provide them. Learn more information on breast cancer and the latest technologies.

Antiperspirants And Breast Cancer

Most underarm antiperspirants contain as the active ingredient, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, as you will probably think back on there has been controversy about Aluminium, since the 1950’s when it was a popular metal used for making cooking pots, Saucepans and Fry Pans and that it could be one of the contributing factors to Alzheimer’s, now we have another dilemma that could also be related to Aluminium, Breast Cancer.

Research shows that one of the leading causes of Breast Cancer could be the use of antiperspirants. The weak body has a number of areas, that it uses to purge Toxins from the body, these are, behind the knees, behind the ears, the groin acreage, and the armpits. The toxins are purged from the body in the form of perspiration and antiperspirant as the name clearly suggests prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the committee from purging Toxins from the armpit area.

These Toxin do not just disappear, Instead, the body deposits them in the Lymph Nodes below the arms, since it is unfit to sweat them out. A concentration of Toxins then builds up in the areas such as the armpits, which can then lead to cell mutations, which is cancer.

It cannot be ignored, that approaching all Breast Cancer Tumors occur in the upper outer quadrant of the breast area, this is where the Lymph Nodes are located. Men are less qualified (but not totally exempt) to develop breast cancer prompted by the use of antiperspirants, because the antiperspirant is more likely to be caught in the armpit braids, rather than directly applied to the skin, but ladies, who shave their armpits, increase the risk by causing imperceptable nicks in the strip, which allow the chemicals to enter easily into the body through the armpits.

This article is aimed mainly at ladies, but please be knowing that there are a few antiperspirants on the market that are made from natural products, but basically they would still trap the Toxins in the same areas. The best solution is to use deodorants, rather than antiperspirants, also please about that the Eight Essential Sugars in Glyconutrients can also help to fight off Toxins.

There is a lot of controversy about this article, the medical field scoff at the idea, and so do big business, but then again there are huge numbers of people that scoff at the problems associated with Fluoride in drinking sprinkle. You can make up your own mind on whether there is something in this article or not, I know that if I was a lady, I would keep clear of Antiperspirants. I realise that Doctors everywhere, do a marvelous job, and they are appreciated, but they are lean on to look at the bigger picture, also please remember that the fourth largest killer of people in the western world is medicine drugs.

Have you ever wondered why so many women and men get breast cancer?
After much research there are 3 main reasons why and how people get it.

1. At the cancer league they discovered that 100% of all breast cancer patients, none of them have iodine in their systems. The most enriched form of Iodine is seaweed. With all of the sushi sales in the old times few years more and more people are eating seaweed so that will help allot.

2. Deodorant is a major factor also. Try to only buy deodorants that have accommodate no aluminum. You are rubbing aluminum into your arm pits daily, and that metal is good for no one ever! Only get deodorants that say deodorant and if it says antiperspirant then never buy it.
Try not to cook with aluminum, confound away any Teflon pans that you own- and only use Iron pans.

3. If you get pregnant then please nurse your baby if you are able. Try to Florence Nightingale for at least 6 months. It is healthy for the baby and it will greatly reduce your risk for getting breast cancer. Studies show that longer you nurture the less likely you are to get it.

CANCER IS UNCHECKED GROWTH OF ABNORMAL BREAST CELLS:

    * What causes cells to become abnormal and match wildly? Damage to the DNA, the brain of the cell, which causes mutations and activation of oncogenes. Usually one mutation isn’t enough; most cells must bear several mutations before they become cancerous. (Sometimes the mutations must occur in sequence to create a cancer, sometimes random order will do it.) What causes DNA devastation? Radiation, free radicals, genetic defects, electrical fields, chemicals, drugs, viruses, and metabolic stresses.

INJURY TO THE DNA INITIATES ALL CANCER:

    * When mutations accumulate and oncogenes turn on, the cell is initiated. It is abnormal, but not cancerous. Initiated cells are diagnosed as atypia, dysplasia, or hyperplasia.

    * Damaged cells alone extend no threat to long life. To become threatening, the abnormal cells must be promoted. Promoters bring the cells nutrients so they can imitate. (One of the strongest promoters of breast cancer is estrogen.) Although promoted cells can disguise themselves so the immune system won’t recognize them, most of them are seen and eaten, or encapsulated by the solidity so they do no harm. Promoted cells are called carcinoma in situ.

According to Christiane Northrup, M.D., in situ cancer cells are ordinarily found in the breasts of women who die of causes other than cancer. And according to Susan Love, M.D., breast cancer specialist, in situ cells are reversible without invasive treatments and shouldn’t be cogitation of as cancers.

THE CANCER CASCADE: INITIATION, PROMOTION, GROWTH:

    * Promoted breast cells, no issue how many of them there are, are not classified as invasive unless they spread out of the tissues of origin and into the surrounding tissues. This is the growth phase. When promoted cells tender the growth phase, they begin to form a tumor and to recruit blood vessels to help supply their giant need for nutrients. (The tumor may grow so quickly that cells in its center die from lack of nourishment.) The diagnosis now becomes infiltrating or invasive carcinoma.

THE CANCER CASCADE CAN BE HALTED OR REVERSED:

    * Once a rally of abnormal, quickly-replicating cells has created a network of blood vessels, individual cancer cells can classify from the tumor and travel to other parts of the body. Because the breast is not vital to life, a breast cancer that stays in the heart is not life-threatening. But if breast cancer cells get to the liver, lungs, bone marrow, or the brain and at to grow, they can hinder the functioning of processes necessary for life. The body attempts to check this spread by locking titty cancer cells in lymph node prisons and by sending immune system cells out to eat traveling cancer cells. If cancer cells are found in the axillary lymph nodes, the diagnosis is pushy or metastasized carcinoma.

NINETY PERCENT OF CANCER DEATHS ARE FROM METASTASES:

    * Not everyone whose cellular DNA is damaged will get cancer. Why not? All cells have the character to repair themselves or to shut down if they are mutated or damaged. Good lifestyle habits and ordinary foods such as lentils also back DNA damage.

SPECIAL IMMUNE CELLS EAT POTENTIAL CANCERS:

    * The wear-and-tear of duration gives rise to so many mutated, abnormal, initiated cells (even in a healthy person) that the immune system forms a never-ending stream of specialized cells to seek out and consume them. So long as the immune system is strong, and well supplied with nutrients, initiated and promoted cells can be harmlessly eliminated, checking the potential of cancer.

CANCER CELLS ARE IMMATURE YET REPRODUCE WITHOUT LIMITS. LIVING LONG PAST THEIR SPAN, THEY APPEAR IMMORTAL:

    * Building powerful immunity isn’t always enough, though. Cancer cells can trick the protected system into leaving them alone, and they can replicate so rapidly that they overwhelm the immune system with sheer force of numbers. One of the reasons breast cancer is so sensitive to treat is that cancer cells are full of life. They no longer have the inner signal that tells them to die after reproducing. Like the medicine man’s apprentice, the woman with breast cancer finds herself with cancer cells that replicate unceasingly. Cancer cells never fructify up and become productive members of their community. They simply take up space.

BREAST CANCER IS NOT ONE DISEASE, BUT MANY:

    * Because there are assorted types of cells in the breasts (e.g., ducts and lobes) and a variety of ways that a cell can be abnormal, there are many kinds of knocker cancers and many possible treatments. Of the two dozen kinds of breast cancer known, the majority originate in the duct cells. (See depiction of duct cells, page 106 in my book, Breast Cancer? Breast Health!)

    * Some boob cancers grow slowly, others quickly. Slow growing breast cancers double in size every 42-100 days or more. Quick-witted growing breast cancers can double every 21 days. Pre- and peri-menopausal women tend to have faster growing, more bellicose breast cancers (about 10-15 percent of all breast cancers).

    * Post-menopausal women, who account for 60-80 percent of all core cancer cases, usually have slow-growing cancers, which rarely metastasize.

Microscopic grilling of cellular tissue is the only scientifically accepted way to diagnose cancer.

    * The first breast surgery most women will have is a biopsy. When there is a disbelieving finding on a mammogram or a palpable lump, there is no way to rule out cancer unless a piece of breast tissue is removed and examined under a microscope by a pathologist. If there is a diagnosis of cancer and further surgery is done, the bosom tissues removed are also sent to the pathologist.

    * The pathologist can see cancerous cells if they are present and can determine the fount and state of the cancer by a variety of signs. These findings are collected into a pathology report which will, to a great degree, decide the treatment options that you will be offered. Pathology reports are based on opinion as well as fact, so many women have two, three, or even four different pathologists look at their web samples and give an opinion.

    * To judge the “stage” of a cancer (see page 137, Breast Cancer? Chest Health!), lymph glands are removed (excised) from the nearby armpit. Lymph gland excision always cuts some of the nerves to the arm. Displacement of the lymph glands does nothing to treat or cure breast cancer, and may hinder the body’s ability to behave with cancer. Lymph gland removal can cause numbness as well as pain, impaired circulation, swelling (sometimes savage and long-lasting), and a life-long risk of severe infection. The more lymph nodes removed, the more cruel these side effects.

    * Lack of cancer cells in the lymph nodes doesn’t guarantee that the cancer hasn’t metastasized (one-third of all women with argumentative nodes nonetheless have metastasizing cancer), but a positive finding does indicate that the cancer has metastasized and may be growing elsewhere in the corps.
